*****This year you will all be creating a Tellagami video!*****
On your iPad you have a button entitled "creating." The apps available in that location on your iPad are apps that allow you to apply what your have learned. You will apply your learning from this iPad Quest by choosing, and using, one of the apps listed below. An explanation of the app, along with the expected outcome will be given in class. I will be showing you how to use these apps in class as you make your way to that point in the iPad Quest. Should a number of you be there, we may take class time to review the use of each app.
Animoto: Animoto is a web tool that allows users to create 30 second videos that incorporate images, short video clips, text, and music. Users may provide content or utilize images, videos, and music provided on the website. You will be required to select a topic from above and create a short video that describes your topic and provides information to others who may not have done the research you did. I will give you a rubric showing the expectations for this project.
Tellagami: Tellagami is a mobile app that lets you create and share a quick animated Gami video. You begin by creating a character and customizing your background. You then type a message for your character to say. You will choose a topic, review your work already completed, research the topic a bit more if needed, and then create a character to tell about your topic. I will give you a rubric showing the expectations for this project. You will email your finished product to me at [email protected] after is it completed. I will show you how on the iPad as you finish.
***Due to the timeframe we have left your rubric is as follows:
1. You must create a character to describe your topic. 5pts
2. The background image must relate to your topic. 5pts
3. The topic content must be accurate, and your character must accurately describe the
topic. 5pts
4. Grammar, punctuation, and spelling must be clear and correct as the character speaks.
5pts
5. Appropriate school use of the app. 5pts
Aurasma: Aurasma is an app that gives you the ability to create augmented reality. For instance, you may want to create a word wall containing words that describe important aspects of your selected topic. You then would create video clips describing those words. Your next step would be to layer the videos with the words on the word wall so that when they are scanned by your classmates, using the Aurasma app, the video explanation would appear on the iPad screen of the user. Another idea would be for you create a video overlay regarding your topic by connecting and image such as a picture of Thomas Jefferson, Tecumseh, or a map of the Louisiana Purchase to an explanation of your topic. I will give you a description of the project expectations when you reach this point.
