Impending War
Neutrality?
The United States had tried to remain neutral during the late 1700s and early 1800s as France and Britain continued to clash. With the onset of the Napoleonic Wars between Great Britain andFrance the United States was once again involved, due in part to our expansion into world trading routes which brought us into direction contact with French and British ships.

Task 6:
For this task I would like you navigate to Task 6 on Edmodo. Once you have read the two links above and done a little exploring on the pages you will need to write one paragraph describing how the United States tried to remain neutral, and how Britain was not really helping with that. Be sure to include the incident with the USS Chesapeake, the practice of impressment, the Embargo Act, and the Non-Intercourse Act. (Please be sure to note, or explain, why the Embargo Act was not all that helpful to the United States)

Tecumseh and The Battle of Tippecanoe
After the purchase of the Louisiana Territory many Americans began moving westward. Native Americans in the Northwest Territory had already given up much of their land with the Treaty of Greenville, however some disagreed, stating that a few Native Chiefs cannot make decisions for all of the Natives living on the land. One voice, that of a young Native American named Tecumseh, grew louder and louder.

For this task you will be creating a word cloud using the Visual Poetry App on the iPad. This app can be found under the "Creating" icon on your iPad. You should start by creating a list of 10-15 words that describe Tecumseh and his importance. Also, you can include words that relate to the Battle of Tippecanoe and those that were involved. The finished word cloud will be submitted to me on Edmodo under the Task 7 assignment.
